Ampulis attended the Partnership Opportunities in Drug Delivery (PODD) Conference this year in Boston. Additionally, Ampulis founder and CEO, Eric Sugalski, presented on the Ampoule-Filled Syringe (AFS) platform as a unique solution to optimize drug stability and usability. This presentation sparked several conversations with pharmaceutical companies and manufacturing organizations around the following topics:

  • Compatibility with biologics – Several companies commented that biologics are challenged by drug stability issues, which may be a strong match for Ampulis.
  • Range of viscosities supported – Many new formulations are higher viscosities, and there was discussion around if / how the AFS would be appropriate given the integrated filter.
  • Dose volumes accommodated – Higher volume doses are a growing concern in the pharmaceutical industry, and the AFS was seen as a solution to provide these higher dose volumes.

PODD is always a great conference that brings together many of the thought leaders from the Pharmaceutical and Device industries. In addition to the great network, there are countless seminars to attend sharing the latest trends and insights related to the drug delivery industry. We look forward to attending PODD again next year!
